PPS was contracted by H. Troon to deliver the full scope of hydraulic works for the construction of the Kmart store in Bairnsdale.

The project included the design and installation of comprehensive hydraulic systems to meet the store’s operational needs. Key works involved connecting stormwater systems to council discharge points, installing below-ground drainage, and integrating an on-site detention (OSD) tank with a 213 m³ capacity. PPS also implemented a specialised siphonic drainage system, sewer and sanitary waste systems, water main tapping management, and domestic water meter installations, as well as hot, cold, and recycled water reticulation.

Additional features included a 5,000-litre rainwater tank, a hot water plant, fire service hydrants and hose reels, and all necessary sanitary fixtures and tapware. PPS ensured system reliability through the installation of thermostatic mixing valves, tempering valves, and a robust maintenance program. The project was completed with the final coordination of hydraulic services and penetration drawings, as-built documentation, and a 12-month defects liability period to guarantee quality and performance.
