PPS was subcontracted by Kane Construction to complete hydraulic works for the Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC), a $59 million project awarded to Kane Construction in August 2021.

Completed in 2023, NARC features both indoor and outdoor pools, as well as expanded facilities for health and wellbeing activities, including larger programming spaces and a warm water pool designed for exercise and rehabilitation.

The facility achieved a 6 Star Green Star rating, highlighting the Council’s commitment to climate action and its leadership in delivering innovative, environmentally sustainable projects. The design was shaped through consultations with the community and the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation, with architects Warren and Mahoney leading the creative direction.

PPS’s hydraulic systems were integral to ensuring the facility’s functionality and sustainability, supporting the project’s emphasis on both environmental and community goals.
